Don’t put handicaps on yourself

Someone shared this quote with me yesterday: “A true handicap is what we don’t do with what we have, not what we can’t do with what we don’t have.”

How great is that? This is a perfect example of complacency. We are all undeniably and unfathomably powerful, yet the majority of people settle for what they have and never push themselves past their limits, or anywhere close to them.

Sit for 10 minutes today and think hard about your personal talents and abilities. Try to think about what you can do that is beyond what you do now. You’re capable of anything, so why settle for somewhere so far below your potential? Most importantly, don’t stop yourself from doing your best. Stay away from handicaps. Do the best you can with what you have because that’s all you have. Successful people aren’t handed more, they just learn how best to use what they have.

Don’t put handicaps on yourself. Use everything you have every day to move toward your goals.
